With the release of iTunes 10 there has been a flood of hatred towards it’s newly designed icon. No one likes the icon and they want to change it immediately.
If you are on a PC you can quickly customize the icon by going to the properties of the iTunes shortcut and changing the icon from the customize tab. If you are on a Mac it’s a bit tricky, because the default way of changing an application or folder icon posted on Apple’s site doesn’t work for iTunes.

Google revealed in a blog post today how they are going to monetize their free maps application. Google will be letting businesses embed their company logos in Google maps. The embedded logos will be seen across all Google maps applications and APIs used by developers including in Apple’s Maps.app.

Hints found on Apple’s UK site indicated the release of iOS firmware 4.1, which will obviously prevent you from JailBreaking your devices using the JailBreakMe tools. However, there is good news:
According to the folks at iSpazio, @comex is in possession of two exploits for the JailBreak of 4.1 and 4.2 firmwares.
The first one is a Userland type similar to JailBreakMe that exploits holes found in iOS software. Similar exploits used by JailBreakMe were found vulnerable and patched by Apple in a firmware upgrade.

iTunes 10 has a HUD style player with full controls that wasn’t available in the previous versions. If you are an Album Arts lover, then you need to check this out.
When playing a song press the cover art button. The cover art button is the fourth of the four buttons located at the bottom left of the main iTunes window.

We have seen a lot of advertisers making creative ads for YouTube. The most famous being the Old Spice guy who posted almost 200 videos, each one customized for people asking questions in different places across social media sites like Twitter, Facebook, Youtube and Reddit.
Today I came across a very creative advertising by Tipp-Ex on their YouTube page. Tipp-Ex is a brand that produces correction fluids and is very popular in Europe. They promote their product in a video where a hunter almost shoots a bear, except that he doesn’t and instead picks up the correctional fluid on the right side of the page to erase the “shoots” part from the title of the video “A hunter shoots a bear”. And then you are given the option to write anything with your keyboard and then press the play button next to it to see a related video based on what you typed.
