HTC is suing Apple for patents which were bought by Google from several companies and transferred to HTC on September 1st.
“Instead of competing by building new features or devices, they are fighting through litigation.”
This was just over a month ago when David Drummond, Chief Legal Officer at Google took on defensive crying about companies like Apple, Microsoft and RIM acquiring auctioned patents for the sole purpose of hurting Android.
“Don’t be evil” my arse.

In a complete 180 degree turn today, Apple announced today that they will be allowing 3rd party app development tools like Flash on iOS going forward. Obviously this is most surprising to Adobe. So they have responded:
Apple’s announcement today that it has lifted restrictions on its third-party developer guidelines has direct implications for Adobe’s Packager for iPhone, a feature in the Flash Professional CS5 authoring tool. Not too long ago we reported about a spam clickjacking the Facebook “Like” button. The spammer used a genius technique of hiding the “Like” button behind a line of text that uninformed users would mistake for a normal link. By doing so the users unknowingly “Liked” the spam page.
Another round of similar scam has been spreading virally over Facebook. When clicked, users are tricked by a warning message claiming the page they are about to access contains content “inappropriate for some users” and that it “may contain shocking graphics, nudity or disrespect other individuals.” The warning message is designed to look like an official warning from Facebook.

We have seen a lot of advertisers making creative ads for YouTube. The most famous being the Old Spice guy who posted almost 200 videos, each one customized for people asking questions in different places across social media sites like Twitter, Facebook, Youtube and Reddit.
Today I came across a very creative advertising by Tipp-Ex on their YouTube page. Tipp-Ex is a brand that produces correction fluids and is very popular in Europe. They promote their product in a video where a hunter almost shoots a bear, except that he doesn’t and instead picks up the correctional fluid on the right side of the page to erase the “shoots” part from the title of the video “A hunter shoots a bear”. And then you are given the option to write anything with your keyboard and then press the play button next to it to see a related video based on what you typed.
