Hints found on Apple’s UK site indicated the release of iOS firmware 4.1, which will obviously prevent you from JailBreaking your devices using the JailBreakMe tools. However, there is good news:
According to the folks at iSpazio, @comex is in possession of two exploits for the JailBreak of 4.1 and 4.2 firmwares.
The first one is a Userland type similar to JailBreakMe that exploits holes found in iOS software. Similar exploits used by JailBreakMe were found vulnerable and patched by Apple in a firmware upgrade.

On Wednesday, Apple released firmware 4.0.2 that patches all the security holes exploited by JailbreakMe. These holes are extremely vulnerable and leave out spots for malicious JailbreakMe variants that aren’t out yet, but eventually will.
The good news is that Apple patched all the holes, the bad news is, they left out and abandoned all iPhone 2G and iPod Touch 1G users. No update released for them.
Luckily the Jailbreak community, specifically @saurik is hard at work to release a Cydia package that will debug the holes for all firmwares and all devices. According to the dev team it will be released very soon after some testing is done.

It requires Pandora and Shazam (both free apps) and here is how it works (Note that you should be on a firmware that supports multitasking):
- Run Pandora, and start playing some music.
- Hit the home button.
- Run Shazam (with music still playing from Pandora).
- Press “Tag Now” in the top right (music will fade away).
- While it’s listening, press home button again.
- Lock your phone.
It sounds the coolest when you start typing something on they keyboard. (Do a random spotlight search to see it in action). And here is a video:
